Dawn Hasbrouck

Dawn Hasbrouck was named co-anchor of WBZ-TV News’s weekend newscasts at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. with co-anchor Ken MacLeod earlier this month. She also reports three days a week on WBZ-TV News and contributes to the TV38 News at 9:30 p.m. Hasbrouck’s first day anchoring the telecast was Saturday, Feb. 3.

Hasbrouck joined WBZ-TV from WFSB-TV, a CBS affiliate station in Hartford, Conn. She spent three years as the weekday anchor on WFSB-TV’s top-rated morning and noon newscasts, and also served as the station’s medical reporter.

Prior to coming to WFSB-TV, Hasbrouck was the weekend morning anchor at WITI-TV, the Fox network affiliate in Milwaukee, Wis. She began her career at another Fox affiliate, WTGS-TV in Savannah, Ga.

Hasbrouck graduated with a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Duke University and went on to earn a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. She is a graduate of St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago, Ill.

Born and raised in Chicago, Hasbrouck is an accomplished, well-rounded performer. She studied opera for nine years, and she enjoys fine arts almost as much as she enjoys volunteering for youth organizations and mentoring programs. And here’s something you don’t hear everyday: both Hasbrouck and her husband, Ronald Johnson, are twins.

Boston’s WBZ-TV and TV38 (WSBK) are owned and operated by CBS Television Stations, one of the largest network-owned groups.
