Gov. Deval Patrick recently attended a Black History Month celebration at which Shaw’s Supermarkets donated $25,000 to the Massachusetts Public Libraries. Aly Forson performs one of “The Vagina Monologues” to a packed house last Saturday at the Roxbury Center for The Arts at Hibernian Hall. Through performances, sponsorships and individual donations, Eve Ensler’s play has helped the nonprofit organization V-Day Boston raise over $13,000 for local domestic violence agencies hit hard by 2006 funding cuts.
