Archdiocese of Boston Black Catholic Choir 14th Annual Concert

The Connolly Branch Library in Jamaica Plain Celebrates its 75th Anniversary
The Connolly Branch Library in Jamaica Plain will be celebrating its 75th Anniversary from 6-8 p.m. Patrons, “friends” and the community will toast this neighborhood jewel, the Connolly Branch, it’s free resources, services and the many changes the building has undergone through the years. The 75th Anniversary will feature live music by the “Sugarfoot” Latin Jazz Band, an historical exhibition of the branch and an art exhibit titled “Faces of JP” which will include portraits by Carla Osberg and Gloria Carrigg. These artists will also be available from 5-6 p.m. to answer questions about the exhibit. Other festivities of the night will include a display of autographed books donated to the library by local authors and honorary committee members; fun activities for children and a birthday cake. 433 Centre St., Jamaica Plain. 617-522-1960.

MASS Healthcare Discussion
The Boston Branch of the NAACP will host a discussion on the new MASS Healthcare coverage, the steps to register and deadlines. The event will be held at the Roxbury Community College Media Arts Building, Room 301 at 6:30 p.m. John McDonough, the Executive Director for Healthcare for All, will be on hand to explain the new coverage and how to register.
