Lesley University is proud to host an end-of-the year arts celebration showcasing and celebrating Lesley’s art-based master’s degree program. Students and alumni will present their recent work which includes a comedy show, spoken word, print work, photography, painting, theater, music, singing, and dancing. An Open Mic for Open Minds
Mouthful: An Open Mic for Open Minds meets every second Friday of the month to turn the mic over to your original writing in any genre — and munch on tasty noshes while you chat informally about writing and whatever else comes to mind. The American Cancer Society “Look Good. . . Feel Better” Seminars
The American Cancer Society will host three Look Good . . .Feel Better seminars this month at local hospitals in the Boston area. Look Good . . . Feel Better is a free program that teaches cancer patientshands-on techniques to help them cope with appearance-related side effects from chemotherapy or radiation treatments. Wig care, scarf and hat use, skin care and nail care will all be discussed, and all participants will receive a free makeup kit. “Kwanzaa with the Jones’s”
Origin Nile Films presents “Kwanzaa with the Jones’s” the first feature film about Kwanzaa premeires one night only at Coolidge Corner movie theater, 290 Harvard St. Brookline, at 7:30 p.m. When the Jones’s perfect world starts to fall apart, the seven principles of Kwanzaa may be their only source of salvation.
