At The Family Center, ''we coach families to succeed!'' Located in Somerville, Massachusetts, The Family Center is an innovative private non-profit family-focused social service organization that provides a wide variety of programs and services to families struggling with the fundamental problems of poverty, racism and violence. Our mission is to create safer, more resilient families by supporting them in developing the inner strengths, life skills and network of resources they need to succeed.
With a solid 25 year track record of developing and delivering inventive programming and services to families in the Greater Boston area, and our recently opened Parenting Journey Training Institute in New York City establish as a vehicle to help us expand on our impact by training other human service providers to implement the successful modes and curricula we have pioneered; The Center is poised for growth.
We currently have an opening for:
A creative and experienced Family Therapist (20-30 hours/week.) Language and cultural competence is highly desired. Licensed clinicians preferred. Prospective candidates should have experience with clinic and home-based work. The Center's programs include: parenting groups, family violence groups and family support. Ability to work well with multicultural staff and clients is a must.
