What do you think of the Supreme Court
decision that ruled school desegregation plans unconstitutional?

How are we going to have equity now? We have no back-up from the government. Even though it’s 2007, we need laws to ensure equality of education.

I think it was extremely out of touch with what’s going on. The Supreme Court is supposed to help us, not hurt us.

I don’t think very much of it. I came up at a time when if there was no government intervention, nothing would have changed. Then we had people who were small-minded and now we have justices who are just as bad. |

I don’t think it’s right. I don’t think white kids should be treated better than our kids. It’s the 1970s all over again. I can’t believe this is happening in 2007. |

I think they’re right. When I was coming up, the schools were just as bad as they are today. True, they have more black teachers, but the education isn’t any better.
