Kennedy Library Forum: A Conversation with Charlayne Hunter Gault
In 1962, Charlayne Hunter Gault became the first African American woman to graduate from the University of Georgia. After receiving her degree from the University of Georgia, Gault went on to become one of the country’s leading journalists. She will discuss her trailblazing career, the challenges facing African American journalists, and her life in South Africa. Gwen Ifill, host of the PBS program “Week in Review,” will moderate. 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Stephen Smith Center at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, Columbia Point, Boston.
