Ebenezer Senior program in partnership with Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church presents a Senior Awareness Seminar from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 157 Springfield St., Boston. Presentations on your body, blood pressure, diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis, prostate health, nutrition, physical fitness, elder services, etc. Light lunch will be served. The Kendall Square Concert Series
Jazz Revelation Records Presents
Juan Ospina – Kendall Square at noon
Pianist Juan A. Ospina was born in Bogotá, Colombia. In 1998, he began his formal musical studies at Bogotá’s Universidad Javeriana, and after two years moved to Barcelona, Spain, to continue his jazz and classical studies. In 2004, he returned to Bogotá for a year before moving to Boston, where he is currently majoring in jazz composition at Berklee. In the spring of 2006, Ospina received a Jazz Performance Award from the Piano Department, and was the 2007 recipient of the prestigious Herb Pomeroy Award, given by the Jazz Composition Department. Ospina also appears on the JRR CD The New Old School. The Kendall Square Concert Series take place at 300 Athenaeum St., Kendall Square, Cambridge, every Thursday, weather permitting, noon to 2 p.m. For more information, please call (617) 577-7354.
